Beatrice Alemagna

Beatrice Alemagna collages materials to create her images, she incorporates three dimensional photograped objects in her designs she uses a variety of different materials and media in her designs.

the yellow poster with the magpie created from newspaper and paint was made to promote a book fair in Roubaix.

the 2nd and 3rd image is from a childrens book called 'Mon amour autrement jeunesse' i was mainly interested in her fabric stuffed animals which are shown in a frame above her page spreads which were exhibited.

Another of her childrens books which caught my eye is "bugs in a blanket" the materials used and the creatures are brilliantly composed i hope to use her illustrations to inspire my characters which i am currently trying to make.

I watched a programme I think the 3rd of february last week on bbc human planet it was a film in the Himalayas Tibetan Monks put up prayer flags. There were thousands maybe millions of them floating and blowing in the wind they looked magical and could be a good idea for a festival sculpture, the flags symbolise hope peace and a caring attitude to nature and the environment around us.
